Are You Cleaning Your Makeup Brushes? You Should Be

Makeup brushes are something you likely use every day but are you cleaning them regularly? Or ever? According to Real Simple and celebrity makeup stylist Jillian Dempsey, you should be doing it a lot more than you think, “I can’t stress enough how important it is to clean your makeup brushes. They accumulate bacteria, oil, and dead skin cells, which will clog your pores and also cause breakouts. Not to mention, leaving your brushes in bad form means they’re unable to perform as well as they would if cleaned and fresh.”

How often? Once a week.

With what? Shampoo.

Yes, you should dry them.
